43. dreading my current life state and this blue lock quote helps make me feel slightly less insane
just started reading the blue lock manga yesterday, picking up right after the anime left off :D !! i'm reading it bit by bit, in between play sessions of parasite eve, for whenever my anbernic is busy charging...
and if you've been reading my now page, it would be no surprise to say that i... am having existential dread about my lack of direction in life!! i seriously don't know what i'm doing, and it scares me.
so when bachira says this to isagi:

i don't know, it's just comforting to me. i know this is such a generic line!! i could have read this literally ANYWHERE. still, i feel like it just came at the right time, from a character who i get lots of comfort in.
helps to remind me that despite my lack of direction, maybe i'm not so doomed. and that the "right path" doesn't exist. sometimes, what people think is the "right path" leads them into unhappiness. all they see is the path they strictly make themselves tread, that they fail to see the beauty of what's around them and think "oh, the sea is pretty. maybe i want to take the path that goes out to the sea instead of the mountains."
... i understand though, that not everyone has the privilege of this kind of freedom. ironic, given the whole free will thing.
but if you're like me. if you feel a little lost in the woods, without a map or any signs around... you have to keep walking. it might be scary, but you don't have to worry about which path is right. when people take all the right paths and are still miserable by the end of the day... why should it matter?
you have to keep walking. it's about making your chosen path the right one.
